Uncharted:Drake’s Fortune (PS3)

(4.5 out of 5)This is a must-play for all PS3 guys. The plot was so detailed and complex it was just like National Treasure and a mix with Indiana Jones. The graphics(cutscenes and gameplay) were just like a movie. The game was also hilarious. The main character is so funny he’s one of my favorite game people. The shooting details are awesome. The story goes when Nathan Drake uncovers the coffin of Sir Francis Drake, which has his diary inside. The diary gives the location and clues leading to the greatest treasure ever, El Dorado. Together with his friend Sully and a news reporter named Elina, he goes out to find this treasure. Little does he know every scumbag in the world is also out to get it. Along the way, Drake uncovers dark secrets. This is one of my favorite games and is definitely in the top ten.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

(5 out of 5) This game is definitely in my top five. It delivered so much fun that you can play it for a year and still have fun with it. The Classic Mode, first off was fun. It was tons of fun, with random battles and cool challenges, like  facing giant foes and  target smash.  Plus the main battle  with Master Hand was great!  The battle  music  was catchy and got your blood pumping. After you beat it Classic Mode your character’s  trophy is placed at the end. So what I’m doing right now is getting every character and using them in Classic Mode, I’m almost done.

Now for the Character Rooster. The number of characters are vast and unlocking them is only half the fun. Playing as them is even better! I have already unlocked all the characters and played as them.(except Jigglypuff, I’m kinda reluctant to play as her.)First off, let me tell you about Mr.Game and Watch, he’s pretty cool and has been upgraded. He’s one of my favorites, if you know how to play as him right. Second is Wolf, Fox’s rival. It took me dozens of tries to beat him because he’s a tough foe but I finally did. He’s a pretty cool character. Next is Toon Link, he’s alright, he’s just like regular Link only shorter,, and he too was hard to beat. Next is R.OB., strangely he is one of my favorites. He so fun to play as and he can kick butt. Next is a newcomer named Pokemon Trainer. He’s pretty cool and I love to play as his pokemon Charizard and Squirtle. I don’t however, like to play as Ivysaur, that pokemon can’t jump to save his life.Lucario is just like Mewtwo only a little bit better. He’s still alright to play as. Snake is one of the coolest, along with Metaknight and Sonic, in the game! The rest of the newcomers and old ones are fun too!

Now I’m gonna talk about Adventure Mode, the Subspace Emissionary! The part is long and fun all the way through! I’m still impressed that Nintendo can make all these characters come together in such an amazing way! The boss battles are fun and the story is great, despite the fact that no one talks in the game.Adventure Mode is even better when you have a buddy to play with you, or in Earl’s own words “Brawl buddy!”Fighting against each other is just as fun as well.

Last is the stages. If you unlock all the stages, which I haven’t just yet, the number to choose from is vast. I especially like the Wario stage, despite the fact that Wario, to me, was one of the crappy characters. The stages are well-designed and very interactive. Overall, if you have a Wii you would have to be a moron not to get this game.

By the way, here are my favorite characters:

1:Snake

2:Sonic

3:Mr.Game and Watch

4:R.O.B.

5:Metaknight

Assassin’s Creed(PS3)

(4.9 out of 5) This was by far one of my favorite games ever! The graphics were spectacular and the fighting was sweet! Jumping from rooftop to rooftop was so fun, especially when you grab soldiers and toss them off the roof. There are tons of mini-quests, like saving citizens from soldiers, and do other assassins dirty work. The plot was so complex and stunning, you’ll be up all night begging to know what happens. The only problem I could find was glitches. For one instance I was walking down a street and the ground disappeared and I fell in water. But as you can see from my grade, the awesomeness of this game makes up for it BIG TIME! The game tells the story of a guy named Dezmen, who is held against his will by a mysterious company. He is forced to go into a machine called the Antimus, which puts him in the shoes of his assassin ancestor, the assassin ancestor’s memory was deep within his own. Anyway, the assassin ancestor’s name is Altiear, who has to go around and kill evil leaders that are somehow connected in order to reclaim your rank and weapons. The ending was very surprising to me and I’ll tell you right now it hinted at another Assassin’s Creed game. I can’t wait! I recommend this game to anyone that still breathes!

Heavenly Sword (PS3)

(4.5 out of 5)This was a great game! The graphics were sweet and the gameplay was awesome! My favorite part is when you shoot arrows you can guide the arrows with the SIXAIS controller so you can’t miss your target. The only problem I had with this game was that it was too short. I beat in less than 2 days. Other than that this game goes in my top ten. The story goes that a girl named Nariko has come into the possession of the Heavenly Sword, which she must protect  it from King Bohan, a madman that will stop at nothing to possess it. The boss battles were cool and very interactive. Overall, one of the best games for the PS3.

Nicktoons:Unite, Battle for Volcano Island, and Attack of the Toybots

Nicktoons Unite!-(3 out of 5)The first in this game series. It all starts off with all the Nicktoons(Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Timmy Turner, and Spongebob Squarepants) teaming up to take down all of their foes, who have teamed up to take over all the worlds. The graphics are average but the gameplay is fun. You can switch costumes and weapons. The boss fights are pretty cool, and the plot is solid. Overall, this was an a-okay game.

Nicktoons Battle for Volcano Island-(4 out of 5) This was my favorite! The plot was awesome and the graphics were a little better. Plus, you get more variety of heroes to play this time. (Sam Madison, Patrick Star, and Sandy Cheeks)Not including the original characters, except Jimmy, he’s not in this one. Even Squidward and Tucker make an appearance in the game, of course, not-playable.The plot is when all the Nicktoon heroes or the chosen ones, is swept away to an island to fight an ancient evil called the Mawgu from destroying the universe. The problem was it was too short and the boss fights could have been better. This was fun to play and I recommend you play it, you don’t even have to play the first to understand what’s going on.

Nicktoons Attack of the Toybots-(2 out of 5)I was highly disappointed with this game. It was way too short and you didn’t even know what the heck you were trying to accomplish!?The guys who made this game could have made this so much better, but they had hurried up and quickly made it to try and make a quick buck. I would like to tell you the plot of the story but I don’t think it has one. Something about Professor Calamituos trying to win some gameshow and you’re involved in it somehow. This was the worst of all the games. The highlight of this game was it mentioned every nicktoon character ever created, old and new.(from the Angry Beavers to Back at the Barnyard.) You also get to play a-lot more characters this time. (Gir from Invader Zim, X-J9 from My life as a Teenage Robot Life,Stimpy from Ren & Stimpy,Tak from Tak and the Power of Juju, and Rocko from Rocko’s Modern Life.)This Nintendo DS has more characters but it’s not even worth a game for a handheld. Personally, I think this game should be sold at Dollar General for $5 dollars.

Lego Star Wars:The Complete Saga (PS3)

(4 out of 5) Who says playing with Legos is for kids?(Or in this case, playing as Legos) This game is so fun! You play through all the Star Wars movies, Lego style! You can use lego pieces to make stuff, and sometimes you can use the force to do it! There is a lot of funny humor in this game.(Even though no one talks in it.) The grahics are pretty neat, since the background is all legos. Plus, it’s got a free play mode where you can go back and replay the Star Wars movies using any character from the movies.(Darth Vader and Yoda baby!) Anyway, this is a pretty sweet game. I highly recommend to any one.(James)

Daxter (PSP)

(5 out of 5) This is the perfect PSP game! You play as Daxter during the first and second game. It tells his side of the story while Jak is in prison. He takes a job as a bug exterminator. There is also fun minigames! You play in Daxter’s dreams and Daxter in playing in movies (Lord of the Rings, The Maxtrix, Indiana Jones, and more!) I highly recommend this game! You know, I couldn’t even find one thing wrong with this game. The graphics are great and the gameplay is sweet!

Blacksite: Area 51 (PS3)

(4 out of 5) Despite what everyone says,(Gamespot, etc.) this was a pretty good game. The only problems I could find in the game is that it was too short,(I beat it in less than 2 days) and it was a little glitchy.(It froze on me at least two times) other than that it was a great game. The graphics were amazing and the gameplay was fun. It was a little hard though to control and drive the automoblies.(You had to drive with the right analog stick and steer left and right with the left analog stick.) The story starts off when you and your team are sent to Iraq to find the enemies’ bombs, what they find though, is even more distrubing. They find mutant freaks and monsters that you find only in your nightmares. Three years later, they come to the U.S. and all choas breaks loose. I loved the comedic remarks made by my team.(The black guy Ambross calling the white guy,Grayson, a cracker.)The monsters were so detailed and wicked awesome that they were the best-looking enemies I ever brawled with. Overall, this is a pretty sweet game.

The Simpson’s Game (PS3)

(4 out of 5) This was a pretty sweat game. The graphics were alright and the cutscenes were just like the show. The only problem I could find was the co-op was hard to manage, other than that, it was a good game. It’s about when Bart finds the strategy guide to the Simpson’s Game. They all soon discover that they are all in a video game. You go around fighting your way through episodes of the Simpsons, and even go through other games(Like Medal of Homer, Grand Theft Itchy, etc). You get to control each Simpson, each with their own unique powers. The game is pretty long, not too long but just right.
