Is There a Higher Purpose?
Now, don’t think I’m crazy or something like that but I can’t help think I or we, have a higher calling in life. Or at least I hope we do. I mean come on people, is this the life you want?Just working for the rest of your life, raising a family, and dying, and a couple of years later, you will not be remembered because you didn’t do something great in life?Living or having no grand adventures.I’m not saying living a normal life is bad or anything, it just doesn’t seem the life for me. I want and hope to have a higher purpose. Yes, I want to make a difference in the world and want to be remembered as a hero. You may call me insane but go ahead. I’m already twisted, duh. I’m not sure how but I will make a difference in the world.
I know this was a random post. Just telling you guys what’s on my mind lately.Do you think there is a higher purpose for you?

We do all have a purpose. But I personally see the feeling of having a “super-duper imma gonna save the world” purpose is just something that all humans are equipped with to keep themselves going. All the greats in history had the same feeling as well have the people that never accomplished anything.

I don’t know about that Ig, I personally see it as what you wanna do with your life. You wanna go over seas and “save the world” go for it. You wanna sit home and eat pork rinds, do it. Do what you wanna do with your life.

so…you don’t think god has a plan for you? God has a plan for everyone. Even if it is just to lead a normal life. Little things can have big impacts.

Agree with you Earl, I don’t really want to go into the “ God gave us a purpose thing“ simply because it creates a weird paradox. We are put here for a reason yet we have free will. Those two things can’t exist together.

Yes it can. God knows us better than we know ourself. He knows how we would react to different situations, so he puts us where we need to be to fulfill his purpose.. People don’t always stay in his plan, but God can handle that. He can simply make things work out differently.
Everyone has a purpose, but it is up to you to decide whether you will fulfill it. I actually agree with Gage this time.

I say we have free will. But we also have a God. I don’t think in the end everything that did happen happened according to his plan.
