The Hero Chronicles:The Student and His Teacher

Erik opened his apartment front door and quickly shut it behind him. He was breathing heavily, due to the fact of running about a mile nonstop to get home. He was in constant fear that the cops would come after him, with a cell and a cell-mate named Big Bertha waiting for him. He walked into the kitchen area and fixed himself something to eat. He noticed the coffee pot was on, with fresh hot coffee in it.

“This coffee sucks!To much of a cheapskate to buy the real brand? Wal-Mart brand coffee, sickening!”a voice said and a man stepped out from the darkness in his apartment.

“Who are you?How in the world in you get in here?”Erik asked the strange man.

“Name’s Max Grendel. Saw what you did today. Very brave, and VERY STUPID! Do you not understand the danger you put yourself in!”the man replied.

“Hello to you too. Name’s Erik!”Erik said sarcastically.

“There are people in this world that would harm people like us. They would capture and test us like animals. If someone found out who you are the police would be the least of your worries.”Max said, taking a seat in one of Erik’s chairs.

Erik didn’t trust this strange man. Behind his back, Erik was levitating the coffee pot, with all of the steaming hot coffee still inside. In a flash Erik pointed his hand towards Max and the coffee pot surged forward and hit the wall behind Max.

Max didn’t even flinch. He just looked at the wall and took another sip of his coffee.He then said,”I think you missed. Might want to clean that up.”

“What do you want?”Erik asked. Surprise that this man didn’t even move at his attack.

“How should I put this nicely…….uhm….I can’t, you suck with your powers.You noob! I’m going to teach you how to control with your powers better, so that if you get the urge to play hero you won’t play demolition man instead, thus, not making yourself so noticeable.”Max answered.

“Why should I trust you?”Erik said.

“Why should you not? If I wanted to kill you would on the floor right now, dead. As soon as you walked through that door I could have killed you easily. Or kicked you between the legs, that’s always funny to me!”Max grinned.

“That’s cold man.”Erik replied.

“Enough chit-chat. Up to the roof. That’s where your training will begin.”Max said and lead the way out of Erik’s apartment.

They made their way up to the roof and max constructed targets for Erik to practice with.Erik looked around and asked,”What am I suppose to throw at them?”

“This!”Max said and hurled a brick at Erik. Before Erik could react the brick hit him square in the stomach. He fell to his knees, clutching his belly.

“Why did you do that for!?”Erik yelled.

“You should always be prepared for a surprise attack. You should have stopped it with your powers. From now on you will not use your hands. Except when we go out in public. You will do everything using your powers. Eat, dress, clean, bathe, blah blah.Pick that brick up.”Max said. Erik slowly got up and grabbed the brick in his hands. Max threw another brick at him.

“What did I just say!?With your powers dum dum!Oh, should have been prepared for that surprise attack as well.Noob.”Max said.

Erik got back up once again and picked the brick up with his powers. He slung it at the nearest target and missed by a long shot. He shook his head and said,”Guide the brick to it’s target. Take your time.”

Erik tried again and the brick hit the target with ease.Erik grinned to himself, obviously, Max saw that grin.”Wipe that smirk off your face! You hit the target once and you’re already cocky. Hit the targets 44 times then you can get a grin on that face of yours.”Max replied, smiling himself.Erik groaned and the days of hard training had begun.

The Hero Chronicles:Can’t Catch Me

Jacob turned burst through the doorway and started running up the flight of stairs. Allision was hot on his tail. Literally. Her hands were a-lit and and was shooting fireballs at him. The Company didn’t take kindly when he left them. After years of turning in innocent people to the Company and watching them being experimented on like some animal he had finally had enough. He decided to quit after he had found his latest hero.

It was a shape-shifter, named Robert William. Jacob had been walking home one day and thought he saw a dog transform into a human in a dark alley. After he had told the Company of his encounter he was given the mission to find out who this person was. Jacob soon found out and Mr.Bennet and his partner immediately went to find him. They did and captured Robert William. He was tranquilized and strapped down to a table like some wild animal. Jacob had enough, his guilt had finally came over him. When the scientist weren’t looking Jacob snuck into the lab and ejected Robert with a serum that would wake him quickly. He got the heck out of there because he knew Robert would cause no end to pain.

Somehow, the Company had found out, and he was on their most-wanted list. But he had a surprise of his own, and it looked like he would have to us it soon. He ran to the top of the stairs and out onto the roof. Allision came onto the roof right behind him.

“Give it up Jacob. There’s nowhere else to run. Turn yourself in.Do you want 3rd degree burns?”Allision sneered.

Jacob ran straight for the ledge and jumped over it. Allision stared in shock and looked down. Jacob suddenly zoomed past her and floated over her head. He had the biggest smile on his face.

“Oh yeah. Did I forget to tell you?I can fly! And I’m going to find Robert and together we’ll take down the Company!I’m sure Robert has a score to settle with you guys.”Jacob laughed. Allision screamed in fury and shot fireballs at him. He evaded them easily and stuck his tongue at her, which made her more angry. He waved and flew off into the distance.

“I will find you Jacob, and I will find Robert as well. You cannot hide from the Company.”Allision said to herself.
